Resend pricing
Every published tier, with the effective cost per 1,000 emails calculated from the list price. Transcribed from Resend's own pricing page, not from a vendor summary.
The free tier, and what it actually allows
- › 100 emails per day, so the monthly allowance cannot be spent in a burst
- › 1 domain
- › 30-day retention
- › Ticket support only

Per-1,000 figures are list price divided by included volume. They ignore overages, which are billed separately at the rate shown.
What the headline price does not show
- › The free tier advertises 3,000 emails a month but caps sending at 100 a day. A launch or a password-reset spike hits the daily ceiling long before the monthly one.
- › Pro at $35/mo and Scale at $90/mo both include 100,000 emails. The extra $55 buys domains, Slack support, and dedicated IP eligibility, not volume.
- › Effective cost per 1,000 rises from $0.35 on Pro to $0.90 on the entry Scale tier before falling again. Moving up a plan can cost more per email, not less.
- › Marketing contacts are billed on a separate plan from transactional sends, so a team doing both pays two subscriptions.
add-ons
- Dedicated IP (Scale and above): $30/mo
- Automation runs beyond the 10,000 included monthly: $0.0015 per run

reading this as developers picking email infrastructure
The question here is which one a backend engineer would rather operate. That means SDK depth in the language already in use, whether a retry can safely be replayed, how much the event log tells you when a customer says the email never arrived, and whether the pricing curve stays sane as volume grows.
Applied to Resend pricing, that means weighing developer experience, SDK breadth, idempotency keys, and operating track record ahead of the rest, against password resets, receipts, and magic links shipped from application code.
